Toy Shopping

When Elijah was little and we had no toys, I spent a lot of time in the toy stores buying lots of toys (looking back I now know we did not need most of them). When I would go to someones house and Elijah liked a toy I would think about the toy until I went out and got it for him. I did sometimes refrain from getting toys, but when kids are little they out grow stuff fast and "need" new developmental toys to help them grow and learn (because they would not grow and learn without them...right;) With Ada Liz it has been different. She just seems to be growing and learning without new toys all the time (image that!). But sometimes she really likes a toy at someones house and I think... I have one of those in the basement somewhere I should get that out. Well today I went "shopping" in my basement (one of the cheapest toy stores around... and no that is not invitation for anyone to brake into my basement and take toys;) So long story short here are some of the new to her/old to Elijah toys that I got for Ada Liz today. She loves them and so does Elijah.

And here is Elijah walking on his foot for the first time in 4 weeks!! He still needs to where the cast when he is playing, but it is nice that he can have it off sometimes.

I know what you mean about the toys...we have toys EVERYWHERE. Caleb's b-day is Sunday and we splurged on $100 kitchen and guess what!?! It came without any play food. Play food is sooo expensive too!

For about $1 I bought a ton of felt at WM and have been making felt food today. SO far I have 2 glazed donuts with sprinkles.

Isn't funny how we change as parents as our children grow...

I love the toy stash thing. I didn't rotate toys with our son...but I did with our daughter and it worked like a charm!
