More photos from Maine

So to get all these photos in I had to save them to my iPad and then put them in one at a time, then I had to publish the blog without any words (because I can not put words under photos in my iPad yet) then when I came in here I saw that all the photos are in the wrong order....... Man that makes me mad.
Oh well here we go anyway.
All these photos are from Campobello Island.  What a beautiful place it is.
The kids had fun climbing rocks.

I love this rusty stake with the wonderful water.

On Campobello is the Roosevelt house.  This house is a lovely and fun to visit. It is neat to be in a different country that has US history.

These roses are so pretty and smell so sweet.  I saw them everywhere (and they grow wild on the side of the road) and want some.... anyone know what they are and how to get some?

This is a light house that you have to cross 2 mudflats to get to.  As you can see it was not passable when we got there (you have to wait until low tide.)

Here we are at the Roosevelt house again.

Doesn't it look warm?

Ada at the top of her "climb" she was very proud

This is the sign at the lighthouse according to my mom a people get pulled out to sea every couple of years (some people do not think that these signs mean anything).

Just wonderful coast line

I was going to put all of these photos of my mom, dad and the kids together so you could see how hard it is to get a good shot of all of them, but now they are randomly placed in this blog so just enjoy them:)

Kids and dad in the house.

Mom and me.

Are you sick of Lupins yet?  I am not:)

Makes me really enjoy my ice in my coke everyday... so glad I do not have to go out to the ice house to get it.

Rocks by the ocean ROCK.

More beautiful beach photos.

More climbing kids.

I want that pantry.

Lovely tree.

Kids tossing rocks in water (they did not care that they could not go to the light house.)

No photos off to quilt!

I can not get blogger to load photos lately... guessing that it is our computer and not blogger as it has not been fixed and I am guessing others would have yelled by now.  I had a bunch of photos that I wanted to show you, but it will have to wait until I can load them on my iPad.  As for right now I am going down stairs to work on the back to a quilt that I am going to send to the long-armer. I will work on getting the photos on the iPad today so that maybe you can see more of our trip ( I know that you just can not wait for more photos right???? right? (hopeful;).

Until then have a nice one.

OK Here are some more photos from Maine

I spent my first 10 years of life in this house and one of my fav places to be was in this window seat looking out at the river.

This is behind the house we stayed in. I love this tree growing out the door.

They have lupin everywhere there.  My mom calls them a weed (not that she pulls them they are still wonderful even if they are weeds:)

I rented a van and my next car/van will have this!

Here is the house I grew up in and some photos of my Mom's wonderful garden (and all the "weed" lupins:)

She just sent me some seed from this wonderful flower and I can not wait to plant it.

This frog lives in her pond.

The house is on a tidal river.

These are the most wonderful roses.  I wish I could grow a whole lot of them.

This is a dam Elijah made.  He was VERY proud, as was I.

Off for a day trip.

I may or may not be a little lupin obsessed.... I may or may not have tried to bring some of those baby lupins in my Mom's garden home with me..... to the drought ...... they may or may not have died a painless waterless death... I may or may not have asked my Dad to collect me some seed so I could try again next year:)

We finally are getting rain here and it is wonderful to hear the cars drive by with water under their tires.  What joy rain brings.  I hope you are all having a wonderful summer.
