Mamma Mia ROCKED!!!!

Just got back from Mamma Mia and man it was great!!!

I laughed so much and of course I cried too.... if you have a little girl you know when, if you do not then listen to this and just picture me crying. BTW I decided that Ada does not need to go to 4K next year maybe I will home school her.  (just kidding..... mostly).

Well I should go off to bed I am sure that tomorrow will come faster then I want it to.

Snow snow snow that is what our next couple of days looks like.... hummmm maybe Elijah will have a snow day tomorrow and I will not have to get up to help him......(or most likely Mark will just get up and help him and I will stay in bed:)

Good night.

Meryl Streep ROCKS Mamma Mia

One of my friends and I are going to see Mamma Mia this weekend and I can hardly wait.  I have been playing a lot of Abba to prepare for it.  I know that many of you will hiss when I say this, but I am not sure that it can live up to this.  This is my favorite scene from the movie.  GO Meryl!!!!

Ok this is the last blog post today... promise.... I think:)  The kids are outside making forts (after they made snack and helped unload the dishwasher.... right now you are all thinking I rock at this mom thing right;)

Some cool places on the web.

Ada all ready for the snow.  (very purple for my pink girl right?????  We got them for free and she did not have a say it it;)

Anyway here are a small group of stuff from the web that I love:

This made me laugh sooooo hard!

I saw this over on A CUP OF JO (she always has fun stuff to look at) (love what you can do then babies are that small.

These two make me smile/cry/laugh so sweet! (how does he whistle like that????)

I got this for Christmas and I LOVE IT (thanks Mom and Dad).

This book is going to make me live forever just so I can make all the quilts in it before I die.

Well I gotta go now as I have been asked 4 times by the 4 kids in the house for a snack.  Maybe I should give them one before they burn the house down;)

Have a nice day.

Oh and one more... not sure how they made it look so fake and real at the same time.

pinewood derby car

He came in first in his class and 5th overall.  I think he did a GREAT job, and he already has ideas for next year.

Oh my @#$ that is BIG

So before Christmas I asked Ada what she wanted for Christmas.  We sat down on the computer and made a list. One of the things she wanted was a doll house and my folks thought that would be fun to get for her.  Mom and I looked at some and then she picked this one out.  In the photo there where kids standing in front of it and I thought that is not that big, but it will be fun and big to her.  Well the kids in the photo must be monster kids (or really they where just a lot bigger (and older) then my tiny little kids).  So here it is:

Not to big right?  Well her it is with my little girl:

See that top floor???? Neither of my kids can reach that level( great place to put stuff to keep away from them;).  But I will say that she LOVES IT!!!!  She loves playing... and I do also.

Steamy Kitchen

I got a e-mail from a friend yesterday with a recipe for this no knead bread and I thought no way I could make a bread that looked like that and was that easy!!!!!  Well that is my bread in the photo!!!! Ada and I just had it for lunch with butter ..... yummy  and EASY!!!!!!  The recipe is from the Steamy Kitchen and she makes some fun looking stuff (and she is FUNNY... great combo for a blogger!) Wish you all where here to try it, but then it would be all gone so maybe I do not wish that:)

You can have your bread and eat it too.

Bunch of photos from the last month

Our Christmas tree

Christmas day.  Look how excited he looks.

She does not look that excited.... she has already cried a couple of times at this point....

Then she got sick.... Poor thing. (I think I could of found a pink bucket for her then we would have had a full pink photo) Thankfully it was only a one day thing and she felt better on the 26th!

Lots of fun stuff and playing .

We also had a birthday.

 With Birthday wishes

And no birthday candles so we used pillar candles (thanks for the great idea Maria!)

We watched this sweet little boy for a couple of days (and one night while he was getting a baby brother!)

My parents come for 2 weeks(not sure where the time went)

Lots of great meals

Lots of smiles

Lots of snow

Silly Jammies

Play dates

See how her hair is sticking out... that is where the glue is and it did that for a couple of weeks:)

Christmas Flowers from my hubby.

Friend come to visit
Many more laughs!

Now I think that we are mostly up to date and Ada is up so I will let you go.  More from this week tomorrow.

Cookie Making

So one of the things that I missed blogging about was the WONDERFUL day of cooking making that we had.

We had 5 adults and 2 kids making TONS of cookies.

Not sure that they are doing here, but it is VERY silly.

Cutting cookies

Rolling dough

Some knitting (I was teaching knitting (I am working on getting EVERYONE to be a knitter, one person at a time:))

Cookies that where made

Decorating cookies

Right after they made a mess in my sink.... don't they look like trouble?  (smile)

"how will I pick just one?"

Now for the bad news.  All of the cookies are gone!  Sad Sad Sad.

Kinda Wordless Tuesday

No time to tell stories gotta go get Ada from school, but wanted to share this photo from yesterday.....

cool yes???

Days gone by

First off welcome back to my blog... It has been sooooo long since you have been here... I guess you where busy with other things .... Oh wait that was me that was busy... sorry:)

So many things have happened since I last wrote here that it might be hard to tell you all of it.  For this post I will try and tell you the highlights that I know you can not live without I want to remember.  The photos are mostly things I made for people for Christmas but I do seem to be missing most of the stuff so you will have to forgive me for just listing it.

One of my best friends came for the day and brought her lovely hubby (it was E's b-day and he thought that was the BEST gift EVER!  Man a 7 year old is easy to please:)  I did not make either of these people, but I did make the scarf that you can just see pecking out of her coat.

All in all I knitted 5 scarfs for others as gifts for Christmas this is one that I made for my dad and I LOVE the way it came out.  I knitted it the long way to make the strips easier.

I did not take a photo of this one done, but I did get it done so just imagine it a lot longer;)  It came out super cute.

We (the kids and I ) made chocolate diped prezels rapped in cloth napkins/table runners.  I also made a set of 8 napkins for my mom and a set of 4 for my friend. (and a handful of extras that we will use.)

I made 6 fleece/flanel scarfs for friends and my kids.

I made this table runner for my mom and dad.  I just love the way it came out .... and so do they.

Also my neighbor had a baby after Christmas and I did this quilt for the new little one.  They love it.  I also made a hat for his big brother (18 months and got them this picture book that I love.)

Well I guess I just wrote about the stuff I made...  will try and do a recap stories with photos of the last couple of week tomorrow. Gotta go outside and get some photos of the family shoveling snow.
