No Name Thursday

Not sure when her hair got so long?

This print always hung in my Grandparents apartment and my Dad sent it to me and I LOVE it here. It reminds me of both my Grandparents and my Dad. Thank you Dad.

Oh and of course it came in all this bubble rap and we all had fun with it. So thanks Dad for the evening entertainment.
And yes I did workout, but now it is 20 to 10 and I am thinking that I should start my day..... well at least the kids are both feed.

Bag DONE!!!!!

I got it done yesterday, but I did not workout yesterday so I could not show you.... it just about killed me;) Anyway this was a shirt that I found at The Dig and fell in love with. I even tried to find a size 4 friend that might fit into it but when the last one got it on and tried to zip it up I got all sad. I decided that I better start cutting it up and making it so no one could fit into it:) The other fabrics are from my stash ( I am NOT allowed to visit a fabric store after this:).

I wanted to do something fun with the handles (well and I made them in a way that I had to) and I like the way they turned out.

I would not have picked this color for the lining, but it was the best I could find in my stash. I still think that it works well.
I have not even cut the strings off yet, because Ada woke up while I was almost done and I send Elijah down to entertain her in her crib until I got it done. (it was after all only a couple of minutes and I could hear that they where having fun.... and I was ALMOST DONE!:)

You might want to stop what you are doing and RUN to your window..... I mean it stop reading this and run to your windows or you might miss it (I will wait here)......

Did you see it? It you see the flying pigs???? What you missed it? Well I told you to run I bet you did not run. Oh well I will show you a photo:
image from here. pig

You see here in WI the pigs are flying, why you ask? Elijah ....... wait for it because it is big....... Elijah has decided that he likes....... sausage!!!!! OK if you do not know my kid you are thinking what kid does not like sausage? Well until about 6 months ago we could not get him to eat ANY meat. So now he can add to his long "like" list. The meat like list takes up a lot of room to type and I am not sure I can afford to use space, but I will try :) (hot dogs, hamburgers, and now sausage;) (OK not much, but there always BIG fights before "discovering that he likes them") You would think that we where trying to feed him liver and pigs feet (maybe I should try them he might like them heeheehehhe)

Anyway on to life:

I have not worked out today yet, but I did yesterday and I am going to do it after I get done here (I swear! Update: Did it! ). I have found it hard to workout and then blog, because I like to blog first thing and that is when I workout..... well I am sure I will be able to figure this out.

Well I was going to put up some photos , but I just started importing them and there are 86 of them..... I guess that might have to wait. I just started a new purse (for my trip) (what I have not told you about how we are going back on the train????) Oh well. I will so you some photos sometime soon. I am hoping to work on it today.

Well the photos are done so here are some from the last week or so.

We have a brand new 2 year old here in this house this week! Here is what you wear when you can wear whatever you want:

Yes that is a swimsuit and jeans (not bad you think for a summer outfit?? I think it got to a whopping 65 yesterday.)

Here is the Lola that Ada loves and wanted AS CLOSE TO THE LENS AS SHE COULD :)

Just cute.

At the fair with friends.

It is hard to believe that we meet all these kids when Elijah was 3 1/2 weeks old!!! Boy have they grown!

Here are some of the seconds.

We made it through the first 5 years!!!!!!!!

Gotta go workout (Mark just asked why I was blogging if I had not worked out..... I hate that he keeps me in line:)

Now for a little word from Ada :

jjjjjjj j uuutteee

And because Ada can not do anything without Elijah wanting to do it also:

jhhukhihkkhkjjigglrydeyoeyurkktoyjufkrfhrlreiurtircrorytr;lfjugtkhugjjguhujjhhjgjhjg8yujg8g8hugo98myy

(he always has more to say then she does;)

Sorry for rambling so.... I guess I missed blogging:)

If only it really worked like this

Photo from the old house before we cut his hair. He found this next and was very proud.

Elijah has be "cleaning" with his sister. He is making the "cleaning" machines out of Lego's, very cute. They have lots of booms, and loud sounds coming out of them.

E: I am done cleaning your house.
Z: Can I pay you in kisses?
E: No I am going to pay you 5 dollars, .... I mean 100 dollars.
Z: So let me get this straight, you clean my house and pay me 100 dollars?
E: Yes and I come everyday.
Z: So you will come everyday, clean my house, and give me 100 dollars?
E: Yes
Z: ( I am not sure that life could get any luckier then that:)

OK so I did not workout today, but I am going to walk to the library later (we have books due today) and I did workout yesterday. I am finding that if I workout I might not have time to blog, so I might have to figure this out, but I am not going to stop working out.

New blogging plan

OK so here is my new plan for blogging. I am stealing borrowing this from my friend Stephanie. No blogging until I workout. So I am thinking that you might not see me very much, but at some point I am going to miss it and my parents are going to start yelling for new photos and maybe you will even start yelling at me (I could use all the motivation I can get:)

So it is 9:30 and here is the list of stuff I have done today:

  • worked out (that is why I am here today and was not yesterday)
  • put 2 or 3 loads of laundry away
  • started more laundry
  • feed 2 of the 3 kids that are playing happily in my basement right now
  • started a batch of bread
  • helped my husband and a friend put our big hutch up (mostly I just watched)
I think that is it. I am also thinking that by 3 I am going to be sleeping on the sofa:)

Now for some photos of our progress on the house. I spent lots of yesterday working on this:

OK I did take the photo through the door, because there are still some boxes out there, but also because I thought it made for a better photo and please forgive me for the bread bag ties that are holding the curtains open;)

I had my b-fast out here (long before the kids where up it was so nice).

I LOVE that we brought these from the old house and that Mark got them up. He did a wonderful job!

I love this

I love that my kids are so good at playing together. As I write this they are "setting off fireworks" (not real of course) in Elijah's room. There is lots of popping and singing going on. I love that they are so happy to be together.

WHY????

Ada: I wanta play in the basement.
Me: Then go play in the basement.
A: Why?

Why do they have to go through the why question stage??????????? I can not wait for it to be a little less ( I know that it does not ever really go away, but it would be nice not to be questioned about EVERYTHING)

House and Kids and Cranes, OH My

There are 2 kids hiding in this photo.... one is a better hider then the other;)

This is a photo to show you that Mark started getting the book shelves up and that I got a pile of boxes gone. They where blocking that window and driving me CRAZY... maybe not a far drive, but still:)

Until our friends came over Ada did not know that Dora came in a movie form (she had only seen her on her diapers). You can not even imagine the joy that she felt when she saw Dora for the first time! Here are both kids being crabs with Dora.

We have a guest staying with us from Germany and we took this opportunity to go up to the International Crane Foundation and see their new exhibits. It was fun. Here is a gray crowned crane.

The photo on the right is from a couple of years ago, before Ada was even a spark in our minds. Boy has Elijah changed (but he can still wear those shorts;).

Here is Elijah running and our friend from Germany trying to stop him on film digital.

They have worked so hard to make the prairies look wonderful.

This is one of the founders of ICF George Archibald. It was very nice to see him.

This is by far my favorite part of the Crane Foundation. It is the most peaceful.

More wonderful flowers

One of two happy kids.

Kappy and Elijah

Wattled cranes.

As many years as I have lived here in WI I still find it hard to believe that this cactus can make it through the hard winters here.

So here are a couple of photos from this week. Not sure why I have not been here, but: I have been feeling a little sick (yesterday), closed on our other house (Tue), had 4 kids (Mon) and that was tons of fun but it kinda wore me out, running everywhere to get all the stuff we need for new house (everyday). Anyway here are some photos around the yard and house:

Here butterfly/moth that Elijah picked up off the ground and let walk on him:) Then the b/m walked on Ada and then me! I am thinking that it was a little lost. Mom can you tell what it is? I know not a good photo, sorry.

Here are some plants that are living on the edge of our forest (OK it is just a little plot of trees, but for the city it feels like a forest.) So Mom what do you think they are?

Here is the best Dad in the world walking in the bug biting capital of the world (OK it is just our forest, but there are a LOT of biting bugs in there) when Ada REALLY wanted to walk in there.

Just a pretty flower in one of our many gardens.

One of our new favorite meals: meats, cheeses, fruit (sometimes) & veggies, and bread (lately it has been homemade bread). We all like this meal.

I just love the way the shadows fall on the wall from this light (this is the one going up the stairs).

OK not a great photo, but I love the beveled glass and wonderful oldness of our front door.
Well that is the tour for today. Have a great 4th and enjoy your weekend.
