Another one done!

Well I have this quilt on my sewing machine for a long time.  The free motion that I picked was a bit more intensive then I expected it to be, but after a beer with my sweet husband the other day I was much more relaxed and it just moved right along.

Here is a little project that I have been working on.  It was super easy, but cute.

I love the monsters on the back... I wanted to make pillow cases for the kids from it, but they said it would scare them.... So I am going to put it on the door instead heheheheh

I got a new toy and I LOVE it!  I was reading this book and it is wonderful ( it is a bit much for me, but it has so much info that I can use that I do not mind)  and the author suggested a app called Snapseed. This app let's you edit your photos.  It is the easiest most intuitive program I have EVER worked with.  The two photos above are an example of how you can change a photo.  I took this photo in Africa ( well is one and about 5000 of it closest friends) and the light was not good for photos, but the subject was good.  Now I can change the light and make the photo one that I like more:).

Another quilt done

I got this quilt done a couple of weeks ago. I started it last year and have been hand quilting it on and off ( lots of off time while I lost the thread) since. I really love the way it came out and and am using it right now:)

One more person with a quilt in the family

I made this for Elijah. The front of the quilt is the side with the stars and the back is the side with the football field.

The back of the quilt is all my design. I wanted a field that he could play a game of football on with his Lego guys. I love the way it came out. I will try and get a better set of photos later, but for now I would have to take it way from him and I do not want to do that right now:)

Oh and I forgot that I had it quilted by a wonderful longarm quilter that I know. I love the way it came out.

Piggie and her quilt

Today Elijah had a play date with a friend, so Ada and I had a girls day.

She wanted to watch a movie ( Wild Kratts) and make a quilt. She has been asking to learn to quilt for a long time. So today was a good day to start.

I think that Piggie and her friends will love sleeping under the quilt Ada made for them.

What have I been up to?

I have been quilting. I made 2 backs to quilts that been done ( for longer then I am willing to admit) and 4 bindings. I then took 3 quilts to the long armer to quilt them for me. I can hardly wait to see how they come out. I will try and post photos when I get them back, but my computer is still having trouble loading photos and it is a pain in they oh know what;)

I also have been working on this quilt. I love the way it came out and now I need to make a back and binding for it.

I will be back more often as soon as I can get my photos up without killing the computer ( and if I do that then we will have to get a new computer so then I might be back sooner;)
