My sister wanted to go to a museum (can't remember what it was called, but I do know that it had TONS of marble in it and most of it was missing hands, arms, feet.... you name it... but what do you expect after .... well I do not have any idea how many years (maybe I should have had my sister write this post;) )
There where also cool mosaics.
This woman could use a nose job.... hehehehe
It was pretty cool to see these faces from the past and look at all the hair styles (I have been doing a lot of looking at hair styles as I am ready to chop my hair off).
Love this hair.
Silly photo.
Man, how long do you think it took to do this hair?
This guy was really cool. They put different color "stuff" on him to make it look like blood (he is was a boxer).
This on was kinda weird because she looks like she comes from my family tree.
This was a cool fence (much nicer then our fences).
just a cool photo.
I think this was a tomb.
Mom liked this and wondered how hard it would be to mak into a quilt.... HARD.
I thought this would be a really cool quilt border (but lots of work).
We had dinner at a place and on the way to the bathroom they had this wall of wine cases. COOL.

Day Two in Roma
I do not have a lot to say and a lot of photos, so most of them will just be photos.
This the road leading up to the Pantheon. I love this building and it is tucked into the middle of the city. You will be walking along on the little streets (which also have cars on them) and you look up and there it is!
Not a great photo, but it is one of the only ones of the 3 of us.
We had lunch on the square (it was dear def #5(as my mom would say), but a great place to see people)
I just love the look of the buildings (the colors are just GREAT.)
Not sure why I like this photo, but I do:)
Couple last photos of the Pantheon.
Here we are at Navona.
A wonderful door.

Weekend crafting
I will get back to my Roma trip soon, but I wanted to show you a craft project that I did.
These are a pair of pants that Ada was IN LOVE WITH. When they would come out of the laundry she would hug and kiss them. Not kidding. As they got smaller and smaller (OK Ada got bigger and bigger, I just do not like to say that) she got sadder and sadder that someday she would not have them any more. I began to think about what I could do to make them last for her and I came up with the idea of a scarf. (it sounded like an easy idea at the time:) There where a couple of little problems ( a couple of holes and a little sticker stain) that I had to cover and I wanted to keep the pockets (they are just so cute).
So here is how it came out:
I think it came out cute, and she said "thank you" in the most uninspired way:) I hope she likes it later:)

There and back again*
Well I am back from Roma and I had a GREAT time. I was there for 10 days (with my mom and sister for most of the trip and my dad joined us for the last couple of days of our stay) with no kids (Mark had to stay home with them... what a saint). I took over 500 photos (I did not count, but it took a long time to down load them). I am not sure how to tell you all about it or how to show you all the photos. So bear (is that the right bear???? I do not think it is, but what the heck) with me while I try and get all of the info out.
Roma has great buildings, this one was right outside of our apartment (this was my first time to rent an apartment while traveling and it was nice and I would do it again, but I did miss the opportunity to meet other people).
It was warm there! All those flowers are real:) (we still have snow on the ground and it is only in the 30's here in WI, but in Roma it was in the 60's (I think as they do every thing in c and I did not know how to convert it:))
OK this one was just for my Ada ( I was missing the kids).
Trevi Fountain
Not sure if I could have more necks in this photo, but what the heck:)
My lovely travel mates. Man I love these guys.
Some pretty ceiling (no idea where it was there are way to many wonderful ceilings in Roma.)
* If you do not know what the title is from that this is not likely to help, but just in cases:)
